Thai Airways A300 Video

Image
I just today finally uploaded a video I took last year on a Thai Airbus A300-600R. The flight is from Bangkok to Phuket. Despite a lot of people complaining about the A300 I quite enjoyed my flight on it. I'm calling it a 'Classic' aircraft now as it belongs to the 1980s generation of aircraft, although Thai have several which were built in 1998. The video takes you through from pre-boarding to landing in Phuket. Here it is:

Going for Platinum Part 14 - The Journey Home. Thai Airways Business Class TG465 Bangkok to Melbourne B777-300

After a marathon 8 or so days and 15 flights it was finally time to return back to where I started, Melbourne. I would be there with just ONE MORE FLIGHT. Back in completely familiar territory with a flight I have been on many times before. I think I have covered Thai business class pretty well on this blog so it's a mostly pictorial report just to complete the story. TG465 is Thai's late night departure to Melbourne, Australia operated currently by the Boeing 777-300. Entry here is for...

After a day of shopping and gambling in Las Vegas (once again, I did not win!) it was time to head to my second home, Bangkok. Today I would be flying American Airlines to Los Angeles and then connecting to Thai Airways flight TG795 to Bangkok. Not a usual combination of flights since they are on seperate alliances but it was the end of one ticket and the start of another. I arrived at the airport by taxi and approached the deserted check-in counters. I asked the check-in agent whether it was possible to interline my bags on seperate tickets from AA to Thai Airways. She had no issue tagging the bags right through, saved me a lot of hassle lugging my suitcase between terminals in Los Angeles. Las Vegas Flight Information Display Unfortunately there is no Oneworld lounge at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, but the place is loaded with slot machines if you are that way inclined (I'm on holidays, why not!). After security I took the airside train to the D gates and found a ...
